Marko Noc

Marko Noc, MD, PhD

Dr. Noc is an Interventional Cardiologist and Acute Cardiac Care Physician. He is Director of the Center for Intensive Internal Medicine at the University Medical Center Ljubljana, Director of Percutaneous Cardiac Interventions at MC Medicor Izola, and Professor of Medicine at Medical School Ljubljana, Slovenia, European Union. He is also a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and Associate Member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts.

He graduated from Medical School Ljubljana in 1987 and completed residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowships in Cardiology and Critical Care Medicine. He was Research Fellow at the University of Health Sciences, Chicago (1991-1993) under the mentorship of Professor Max Harry Weil and Visiting Scientist (1995-1996) at the Institute of Critical Care Medicine (University of Southern California, Los Angeles). Between 1999-2000 he completed fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles under the mentorship of Franck Litvack and Niel Eigler. Beside regular clinical work and percutaneous cardiac interventions, he is active in clinical research in the field of interventional aspects of cardiac arrest and acute coronary syndromes. He has published 143 scientific papers cited by PubMed and 12 chapters in international textbooks. Since 1992 he has served as invited faculty at 230 international scientific meetings.
